The TPM area

La Seyne-sur-Mer

Now the second largest city in the Var, La Seyne-sur-Mer is as remarkable for its heritage and history as it is for the beauty of its coastline, described by George Sand as "paradise on earth".

Shopping in La Seyne-sur-Mer

Provencal markets

Every morning except Monday.

The stalls of the Provencal market in the centre of La Seyne-sur-Mer line the colourful narrow streets of the town centre. As long ago as 1691, fishermen's wives would bring their husband's catch here to sell. Don't miss the covered fish market built in 1839, a real and vibrant La Seyne institution.

Every Friday morning

Steep yourself in the village atmosphere of the little market in Les Sablettes, where the stalls are just a stone's throw from the beach.

Shops

Stroll around the pedestrian-only streets of the old city centre, lined with tempting boutiques, fine food stores and restaurants, not to mention café terraces.

The little train
